Brazilian Tilapia Prices Surge

Brazil’s tilapia market is in full rebound mode, with prices climbing across every monitored region. The latest joint survey by Cepea and Peixe BR shows a clear upward trend in the week of 10–14 November 2025.

• North Paraná leads the rally: +3.10 % WoW to US$1.88 / kg (R$9.92)
• West Paraná follows: +1.28 % WoW to US$1.66 / kg (R$8.75)
• National weekly gains range from 0.32 % to 3.10 %
According to data released by the Center for Advanced Studies in Applied Economics (Cepea) and the Brazilian Aquaculture Association (Peixe BR), tilapia prices have risen in all regions surveyed during the week of 10–14 November 2025 .
The strongest weekly increase was recorded in northern Paraná, where prices jumped 3.10 % to US$1.88 per kilogram (BRL 9.92). Western Paraná posted a 1.28 % gain, bringing local quotations to US$1.66 per kilogram (BRL 8.75) .
Market participants attribute the broad-based advance to a combination of tighter on-farm inventories and renewed retail demand as the year-end festive season approaches.
